QuizzyAppTerms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and QuizzyApp. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.
1. The service
QuizzyApp lets you create, publish and play timed quizzes, host live competitions with leaderboards, join study circles, and track your progress. It is available on the web at quizzyapp.net and as apps for Android and iOS.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 to hold an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
- Give accurate details and keep your password secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. An account is signed in on one device at a time; signing in elsewhere ends the earlier session.
- Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has accessed your account.
3. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or self-harm.
- Upload material you do not have the right to use, including copyrighted exam papers, textbooks or images.
- Cheat in a competition, manipulate scores or leaderboards, or use automated tools to play.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with an institution.
Our Community Guidelines set out what is expected in more detail, and form part of these terms.
4. Content you create
You keep ownership of your quizzes and materials. By publishing on QuizzyApp you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display and distribute that content so we can run the service — including showing it to other users, and displaying an extract on public pages such as our quiz directory where you have enabled a preview.
This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies retained in backups for a limited period, and for records we must keep by law.
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish. QuizzyApp is a study aid, not a source of professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
5. Moderation
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the Community Guidelines. Where practical we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond, but we may act immediately where there is a risk of harm or legal exposure.
6. Premium, billing and renewals
Premium is an optional paid tier. Prices are shown in the app before you pay, in Nigerian Naira, and are charged through Paystack.
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the same price until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Premium page; you keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- One-time access grants 30 days and then simply stops. Nothing renews and no card is stored for it.
- If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies from your next renewal and we will tell you beforehand.
- If a renewal payment fails, Premium features stop until payment succeeds. Your account and content are not affected.
Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started, except where the law requires otherwise or where you were charged in error. If something has gone wrong, contact support@quizzyapp.net and we will look at it in good faith.
7. Paid content and creator earnings
Creators may charge for access to a quiz or collection. Where they do, QuizzyApp retains a platform fee and the remainder is credited to the creator; the current split is shown in the creator dashboard. Creators are responsible for their own taxes. We may withhold payouts where we suspect fraud, chargebacks or breaches of these terms.
Buying access grants you a personal, non-transferable right to use that content within QuizzyApp. It does not transfer ownership, and it does not let you redistribute the material.
8. Competitions
Hosts set the rules, timing and any entry fee for their competitions. QuizzyApp provides the platform and the scoring. Where a competition enforces exam conditions, leaving fullscreen or switching away from the page during an attempt may be recorded and may end the attempt. Hosts are responsible for the fairness and lawfulness of any prize they offer.
9. Advertising
The free tier is supported by advertising. Premium removes all advertising. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled.
10. Availability
We work to keep QuizzyApp available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or discontinue features. Where we discontinue a paid feature you have already paid for, we will offer a pro-rata refund or an equivalent replacement.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, QuizzyApp is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from content published by other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Ending your account
You can stop using QuizzyApp at any time and delete your account by following these steps. We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — ownership, liability, and any outstanding payment obligations — continue to apply.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, where a change materially affects your rights, notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use QuizzyApp after that means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction over any dispute — without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
