Answers to the questions we get most. If yours is not here, email support@quizzyapp.net and we will get back to you.
Account and sign-in
I have forgotten my password
Choose "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and enter the email address on your account. We will send a reset link. If it does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
I was signed out unexpectedly
An account can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in somewhere new ends the previous session — so if you signed in on a phone, the browser session on your laptop will end. Sign in again to continue.
I signed up with Google and now cannot sign in with a password
Accounts created through Google sign-in do not have a password. Use the "Continue with Google" button with the same Google account.
Premium and billing
How do I cancel?
Open the Premium page in the app and choose "Manage subscription". That opens the Paystack page for your subscription, where you can cancel. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for.
What is the difference between one-time and subscription?
A subscription renews automatically — monthly or yearly — until you cancel. One-time access gives you 30 days and then stops; nothing renews and no card is stored. Yearly works out cheaper per month than monthly.
My payment went through but Premium is not active
Activation is usually immediate, but a slow confirmation from the bank can delay it by a few minutes. Close and reopen the Premium page to refresh. If it is still not active after fifteen minutes, email us with the Paystack reference from your receipt.
What happens to my quizzes if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your quizzes, collections and results all stay in your account. You return to the free limits — your first quizzes stay editable and everything remains playable.
Do I need to pay separately on web and mobile?
No. One subscription covers the website and the Android and iOS apps. Sign in with the same account.
Creating quizzes
How do I turn my notes into a quiz?
Open the AI tool from the hub, paste your notes or upload a document, and generate a draft. Review and edit every question before publishing — the AI is a first draft, not a final one, and you are responsible for what you publish.
Can someone else help me build a quiz?
Yes. Add them as a collaborator from the quiz editor and they can edit it with you.
Why can I not add an image to a question?
Image questions are a Premium feature.
Playing and competitions
The quiz went fullscreen and warned me about switching tabs
That is exam mode, which hosts can enable for competitions and timed quizzes. During an attempt, leaving fullscreen or switching away from the page is recorded, and repeated attempts to do so can end your attempt. It keeps the leaderboard fair for everyone.
My attempt ended when my phone screen turned off
The app holds a screen wake lock during an attempt to prevent exactly this, and short interruptions on a phone are forgiven. If you were away long enough to look something up, it counts. If you think an attempt ended unfairly, email us with the quiz name and roughly when it happened.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Yes, in the Android and iOS apps. Download a quiz first from its detail page — offline downloads are a Premium feature. Results sync when you are back online.
Content problems
A question has the wrong answer
Quizzes are written by their authors, not by us. Use the report option on the quiz, or email us with the quiz name and the question. We pass it to the author and act ourselves where the content breaks our Community Guidelines.
Someone published my material
Email support@quizzyapp.net with a link to the quiz and evidence that you hold the rights, and we will review and remove it where the claim holds up.
Privacy and data
How do I get a copy of my data, or delete my account?
See Delete your account for deletion, or email us for a copy of your data. We respond within 30 days. What we hold and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
